Specifications: A light can be very usefull when diving here.Diving at an interesting shipwreck. This is a deep dive, plan it well.

The Xlendi Ferry did her duty and was followed by the MV Ta-Pinu which is still ferrying between Malta and Gozo. It was sunk by the Maltese tourism and diving organization in 1999 to create an extra artificial reef for divers. She landed on the ocean floor originally upright on a steep slope. Unfortunately it started rolling after a week and rolled upside down. Now it is located at 45 meters deep reachable by shore from Mgarr Harbor through a walking track across farm land.

It is very hard not to get disoriented while inside the wreck. Its depth creates an extra risk of getting narcosis which might influence your behavior. Nowadays shoals of damselfish, nudibranches, crabs, shrimp and flatworms are common. There is also a car next to the wreck for the few who have seen the ferry after a few minutes.

During this dive do not try to enter the ship. Nowadays it has become dangerous. You can still dive around it.
