The entrance to Xlendi Cave is easily found from shore. The tunnel entrance which goes well into the headland is located just below a large area of green grass. It is only 2 meter deep at the Xlendi Bay side and about 6 meters on the other side. Because of this shallow depth it is also popular at night. The cave has many starfish, sponges, goatfish damsel and cardinal fish. There are schools of young barracuda that shelter inside the cave in wintertime. This is a nice cave dive which is perfect for starting cave divers.
