The MV Odile also known as the Margrit was an Italian steam freighter of more than 100 meters long. Divers used to think it was the HMS Abingdon, which was also bombed during WWII in 1942 in the harbor of Valetta. Anyway, she was rediscovered in 1970 and now rests at her port side in 20 meters of water with her head facing northwest.
With a lot of air it is possible to get here by swimming out from shore, but you will end up tired. Even if you get there the wreck is hard to find due to the visibility. Its hull is all broken up and many parts have been destroyed beyond recognition with propellers and bow completely missing; probably in the explosion that followed at its bombing. She is still a very interesting wreck although not dived very often.
