Double Arch Reef or Twin Arches lies next to the salt pans in Marsalforn Bay is an interesting dive site with many marine species and some excellent parts of healthy coral. It is a t shaped reef at a depth of 20 meters which has steep drop-offs at all sides. Around the corner are two natural arches which are build on top of each other, hence its name. There is one which starts at 20 meter while the other bigger one goes all the way to 45 meters. There are also some small caves near the coast and macroscopic life can be great by diving across the large area of sea grass that separates Double Arch Reef and shore.

Near its outer walls you will find many species of pelagic such as barracuda's and dentrex. But on the reef you will also find amberjacks, damsel, breams, wrasses. Nudibranches, sponges, cup corals and octopus can also be seen by searching divers. If you dive here coming from shore you have to pass a large shallow area of sea grass which is covered with sea urchins. Remember that it requires about a 20 minute long surface swim from shore.
